Carrier Onboarding Associate

About The Role:

You serve a pivotal resource to our sales team, carriers, and customers. This individual strives to mitigate risk for Spot by thoroughly vetting new carriers before onboarding them. The Carrier Setup Team is responsible for assessing motor carriers who are interested in working with Spot. These team members are even-keeled, creative problem solvers, excellent communicators, and big-picture thinkers.

Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for vetting carriers and partnering with those who are deemed safe, accountable, and reliable by all FMCSA standards.
  • Analyze carrier BASIC percentiles and scores to ensure each carrier is safe to haul freight.
  • Ensure all carriers are compliant with all safety and contractual qualifications throughout the duration of their partnership with Spot.
  • Handling finances for the carriers while maintaining a relationship with both carriers and customers at an elevated standard.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of customer service experience. 
  • Previous experience in the transportation industry preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet performance metrics. 
  • Organization and attention to detail. 
  • Adaptability, multi-tasking ability, and a sense of urgency. 
  • Team player who can connect with others, but who can also produce independent results. 

NOTE: This position is on-site 5 days per week in our downtown Indianapolis office.
