TAK Broadband is a leading end-to-end U.S. fiber broadband network construction contractor operating in 42 states. This includes engineering teams, distributors, and more than 100 qualified construction crews with extensive experience across all ISP types and markets; over 300 experienced bury drop crews; and more than 700 professional technicians.


We are seeking an experienced Onboarding Specialist to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will ensure a seamless and efficient onboarding experience for new hires, managing key administrative tasks related to hiring, compliance and progress tracking.

The Role

  • Prepare offer letters, manage background checks, drug screenings, and confirm start dates for new employees
  • Process background checks and drug screening for business partners as needed
  • Track the onboarding process, ensure all required documentation is completed, and provide regular status updates
  • Ensure that all pre-employment documents are in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Maintain records for required certificates, document expiration, etc.
  • Respond to questions from candidates, new hires, and internal customers
  • Create and maintain new hire profiles in various systems and ensure accurate data entry
  • Submit technician badges and track those that require renewal
  • Organize files through SharePoint to maintain a streamlined process
  • Handle employee information with strict confidentiality
  • Assist colleagues and assist with special projects as needed

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in administrative support, Human Resources administration, or related experience required
  • Prior experience with employee onboarding strongly preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in handling data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and SharePoint
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver’s license is required if the role involves driving
  • Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
