Traba is looking to hire a Controller who will be responsible for scaling our accounting operations and financial reporting as we grow. In this role, you will partner closely with Finance and Leadership to establish financial processes, ensure compliance, and provide key insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Establish and oversee multi-entity accounting operations that accurately track financial flows between the marketplace platform, contractor management, and W2 employment divisions
Implement comprehensive payroll management systems that handle both 1099 contractor payments and W2 employee payroll while ensuring compliance with classification regulations
Develop scalable accounts receivable processes for client businesses while maintaining sufficient working capital to support timely worker payments ahead of invoice settlement
Create proper revenue recognition policies under ASC 606 that address the complexity of marketplace transaction fees, staffing services, and multi-entity financial reporting
Design financial controls and reporting frameworks that provide leadership with clear visibility into key marketplace metrics, including entity-specific performance, worker utilization rates, and client acquisition costs
CPA certification with strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, and financial compliance regulations specific to multi-entity operations
8+ years of accounting experience with demonstrated expertise managing both 1099 contractor and W2 employee payment systems
Proven experience with multi-entity accounting operations and intercompany transaction management
Proficiency with accounting software systems capable of handling complex marketplace financial flows
Strong working capital management skills to balance contractor payments with client invoice cycles
Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite)
