Primary Purpose: This position, under the direction of an Assistant Registrar or above, will coordinate and implement student processes for records and registration. This position will assist in the implementation of new software and/or web-based tools as well as provide ongoing maintenance and support. This position will serve as a liaison between the Registrar’s Office, Information Technology Services (ITS) and campus stakeholders. Acting as a consultant, the individual plans and designs technological strategies for streamlining Registrar’s Office processes. Assist in the preparation & delivery of workshops and training programs. May interpret department policies for an area of responsibility.
Job Description:
Coordinators serve as a resource to the Registrar's Office and Enrollment Services. They must be familiar with Department of Education and Board of Trustees policies and procedures governing the full life cycle of a student. Specific duties include:

General supervision. The incumbent develops procedures for performing a variety of complex duties within established guidelines; has considerable freedom while the work is in process and receives instructions on new assignments.
Level of Public Contact:
Initiates contact with faculty, and staff of the university on an as needed. Contact with parents, potential students, and partners in the community as appropriate.
Policy-making and/or Interpretation:
This position is responsible for maintaining, understanding and applying knowledge of all federal regulations and state statutes pertaining to student records including, but not limited to FERPA.
Program Direction and Development:
Assist director/manager with writing, training, and administering policy and procedures for registrar's office processes.

This position has a reporting requirement because the University believes that responsibility for students, campus activities and/or campus security will make the holder of this position someone members of the University community will see as an authority figure and someone to whom they can seek help. A CSA is not expected to investigate or determine whether a criminal incident actually took place. A CSA’s responsibility is a duty to report. All positions designated as CSAs are required to complete an online or in-person training session. The holder of this position is designated as a “Responsible Employee” pursuant to their role under Title IX. Required Qualifications: This position requires either (a) Master’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization; (b) Bachelor’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and two years of experience directly related to the job functions; or (c ) 6 years of direct experience.
