Frontend Engineer (E-commerce)

About the role:

As a Frontend Engineer at Wristcheck, you'll be working cross-functionally with our Engineering team to build, develop, test, and debug responsive web and mobile applications for our e-commerce marketplace (C2B2C and B2B) platform. From launching innovative solutions, driving efficiency through automation, and ensuring a secure and robust system, your work will form the backbone of our vision to revolutionize the watch industry!


You'll report directly to the Engineering manager and work in a fast-growing, dynamic, and international team. This is a hybrid role for candidates in and around Manila City. Candidates will work local hours.


What you'll be doing:
  • Supporting the development of our web and mobile applications using React, Node.js, and Typescript
  • Writing well-crafted, well-tested, and maintainable code according to best practices
  • Working with Lead developers and designers to develop, implement, and iterate user interface components
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving technical issues
  • Maintaining and improving existing applications
  • Supporting business and operational teams (e.g. marketing, consignment, sales) to grow our e-commerce platform
  • Participating in code reviews and ensuring that coding standards are followed


What you'll bring:
  • 3+ years' experience in developing complex frontend applications, ideally for a marketplace of e-commerce platform
  • Proven knowledge in React, Node.js, and Typescript
  • Understanding of web design principles and how to translate a Figma design into clean and reusable code
  • Independent, proactive, and able to deliver production-ready code with minimal guidance
  • Great verbal and written communication skills in English, working cross-functionally with other engineers, product managers, and designers
  • Eagerness to learn and willingness to grow
