Medical Director

Our growing company, AdvisaCare is looking for a Part Time Medical Director to help lead our organizations expanding continuum of care to provide the right care, at the right time , in the right place, every time.

** Coverage area will be for Traverse City, Cadillac and surrounding areas!**

  • Clinical oversight for all hospice patients (5-10 hours per week)
  • Provide treatment that promotes client dignity, independence, individuality, strengths, privacy, and personal empowerment.
  • Oversee patient medication prescriptions as required
  • Documenting in specified EMR
  • Phone on-call for clinical questions and orders
  • Supervise Nurse Practitioner
  • Attend interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings every other week
  • Carry out any other duties as may be required by the company from time to time.

Qualified candidates:

  • Licensed to practice as a DO, or MD by the state of Michigan
  • Minimum 1-year physician experience
  • Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills
  • Basic knowledge of Hospice philosophy
