Your Role as Senior Backend Engineer

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Altura, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing and scaling backend infrastructure that powers our platform. This is a high-impact role where your contributions will directly shape our product and the experience of our users.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Designing and developing backend services and APIs to support scalable, reliable systems.

• Implementing and maintaining robust unit and integration testing frameworks (e.g., xUnit, NUnit) to ensure code quality and system reliability.

• Collaborating with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to deliver seamless end-to-end features.

• Optimizing application performance and ensuring system reliability as we scale.

• Establishing best practices for CI/CD, deployment pipelines, and system monitoring.

• Contributing to architectural decisions and evaluating new technologies to keep our stack cutting-edge.

• Acting as a mentor to junior engineers and fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.

What You Bring to the Table:

We’re looking for someone who is not just technically excellent but also thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments. You’ll need:

• 7+ years of experience in backend development with expertise in .NET and C#, including familiarity with the latest .NET versions.

• A strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred), containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.

• A solid background in database technologies (SQL is a must, NoSQL is a nice to have).

• Proven experience with testing frameworks (e.g., xUnit, NUnit) and a strong commitment to code quality and security.

• Familiarity with Agile or Shape Up methodologies is a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex technical challenges.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to thrive in a team-focused environment.
