Are you ready to join a team that dreams as big as you do?ROLE SUMMARY:The Operations Manager in a high-speed manufacturing facility is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the production process to ensure that the facility runs smoothly and efficiently. This role involves managing a team of supervisors, technicians, and production workers, and coordinating with other departments such as engineering, quality control, and logistics to ensure that production targets are met.The Operations Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing production plans and schedules, monitoring production output, and ensuring that quality standards are met. They will also be responsible for managing the facility's inventory levels and ensuring that raw materials, components, and finished goods are received, stored, and shipped in a timely and efficient manner.The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring that the facility operates within the allocated financial resources. They will also be responsible for identifying areas for improvement and implementing process improvements to optimize productivity, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.The ideal candidate for this role will have a degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field, and at least five years of experience in operations management in a high-speed manufacturing facility. They should have excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, and be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. They should also have a strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, quality control systems, and supply chain management.JOB RESPONSIBILTIES:• Supervise production workforce in Packaging Maintenance through team of managers• Analyze behavioral, operational, and financial drivers for the packaging department to create safety leadership in the department, efficiency improvement, and bottom-line growth.• Act as a resource for packaging leadership team to assist in problem solving, strategic initiatives, labor relations, and team coaching.• Involved in the planning, directing, and managing of packaging activities in pursuit of key performance indicator achievement in accordance with MCC Support standards.• Accountable for delivering Maintenance Key Performance Indicator results• Managing the maintenance budget and accountable for maintenance cost optimization in Operations• Ensure daily production efficiencies, quality expectations and schedule attainment is met.• Monitor safety regulations to assure employee compliance. Assure legal compliance by employees.• Assure compliance with labor contracts. Manage the relationship with the union where appropriate including discipline & grievances where necessary or applicable.• Manages the development of the department resources through training, informal feedback and individual performance appraisals. Ensures effective interactions between packaging department and internal/external customers.• Responsible for financial performance of area.• Accountable for plant reliability in support of packaging line efficiencies• Ensure all maintenance routines are updated and forwarded to Zone Support• Support continuous improvement and root cause analysis processes related to maintenance and performance of all plant and building maintenance.• Coach salaried employees on their roles and responsibilities as well as developing employees through the normal performance evaluation process and cycle• Utilize VPO tools to achieve targets and close gaps in performance (root cause analysis, Gap Analysis, MCRS meeting schedules and action logs, 5 Why's, PDCA and SDCA cycles, etc.)• JOB QUALIFICATIONS:• Bachelor of Science (Engineering/Food Science Preferred) or equivalent• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the packaging process and maintenance related processes• 3-5 years’ experience in a high-speed manufacturing setting preferred• Good working knowledge of Environment, Health and Safety regulations. Industrial relations in a unionized environment.• Ability to cross functionally move between departments and divisions. Willingness to work as needed and as required outside of normal business hours. Ability to relocate within the brewery system.• Strong computer skills. Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge. Technical and problem-solving skills.• Leadership skills, comfort level with change, and the ability to lead change.• Knowledge of basic budgeting• Solid interpersonal skills and team orientation.
