Learning Experience Designer

Capgemini is seeking an experienced, highly motivated and detail-oriented Learning Experience Designer for a top 10 US Insurance Carrier

The Learning Experience Designer evaluates, plans, and creates learning and performance improvement solutions to improve employee effectiveness at all levels. In this position, the individual will collaborate with other teams to design and develop learning and performance improvement solutions. They will be accountable for the effectiveness of learning and the user experience (for both learners and trainers) in the solutions they produce and/or contribute to.

Responsibilities

Course Design and Development:

  • Conducts needs analysis for new and existing courses.
  • Designs and develops training courses, videos, materials, and job aids.
  • Uses adult learning practices and technologies.

Recommendations and Modifications:

  • Makes recommendations on solution design modifications.
  • Selects design techniques and tools to drive expected outcomes.

Consulting:

  • Consults with feature/product owners, business representatives, delivery team, and subject matter experts.
  • Participates in business unit meetings to improve learning solutions and performance.

Collaboration:

  • Partners with designers, subject matter experts, and trainers.
  • Creates change communication and upskilling plans.
  • Seeks and shares feedback on learner experience and effectiveness.

Design Innovation:

  • Uses effective and innovative design techniques and tools.

Measure Results:

  • Establishes and tracks success measures of learning and performance solutions.
  • Analyzes business results and learner success.
  • Develops recommendations based on findings.

Total Work Experience:

  • Minimum Required: 1-3 years
  • Preferred: 4-6 years

Work Experience in This Field:

  • Minimum Required: 3 years - Preferred: 4-6 years
  • Instructional design or educational content development, course building and editing required.
  • Designing scalable learning solutions (classroom, virtual and/or online) required.
  • Portfolio required

English Proficiency:

  • Minimum Required: Fluent

Work Schedule: PST to EST, flexible (core hours: 10am to 4pm EST)

Required Education:

  • Preferred: Bachelor
  • Degree in Communication preferred

Required Branch of Study:

  • Instructional Design or Education

Other Critical Skills:

  • Problem Solving - Intermediate
  • Communication - Intermediate
  • Creativity and/or Innovation - Intermediate
  • Graphic Design - Intermediate
  • Video Editing – Intermediate
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time with coinciding deadlines.

Software / Tool Skills:

  • Articulate 360 (Rise and Storyline)- Entry Level (1-3 Years)
  • Camtasia or other video editing tools - Entry Level (1-3 Years)
  • Canva, Vyond, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, Mural - Entry Level (1-3 Years)
  • MS Teams - Entry Level (1-3 Years)
  • PowerPoint - Entry Level (1-3 Years)
  • Excel - Entry Level (1-3 Years)
