We're seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Technical Curriculum Developer to join our Technical Customer Training team. In this role, you'll play a key part in designing and developing engaging learning experiences that empower our users to master Cribl's cutting-edge data management solutions. You'll collaborate with subject matter experts, leverage your deep product knowledge, and apply your instructional design expertise to craft high-quality courses and curriculums as part of Cribl’s official training brand, Cribl University. We strive to achieve maximum time-to-value for our learners; because of this it is important that our content aligns with our learning strategy and helps learners gain knowledge and validate their skills and abilities in an effective, appealing manner. To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will need to be flexible, excel working in fast-paced environments all while taking pride in delivering exceptional technical education content where EVERY DETAIL MATTERS.The ideal candidate for this role understands technical learning and has a passion for creating highly-valued learning experiences that engage learners. In addition, you should be skilled in visual learning design, and able to excel while working both independently and collaboratively. Technical experience or a background in the data space is required, especially with an emphasis on instructional design and content building.   • Design and develop engaging technical learning materials and compelling course content that can be tailored to serve multiple needs.
  • Collaborate with technical subject matter experts to transform complex concepts into clear and concise learning experiences. 
  • Leverage your Cribl product expertise to create impactful training that addresses real-world user needs.
  • Utilize instructional design principles and style guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across all content, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Develop hands-on exercises, interactive activities, and engaging assessments to enhance the learning process.
  • Create supporting materials such as videos, demos, and interactive simulations.
  • Help to maintain and update content within the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of our education roadmap.
  • Will help set strategic direction of Cribl University by driving key initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with Cribl's overall business goals.
  • Consistently meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work that exceeds expectations.
  • This position may require stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties.

 

As An Active Member Of Our Team, You Will Bring…

Technical Aptitude:

  • Technical knowledge of Cribl products and their applications in the data management landscape.
    • A strong understanding of data-related concepts, including data formats, pipelines, common data challenges, data pipelines, log/metric data, and system integrations.
    • A desire to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the data management space, particularly those relevant to Cribl products.
    • Ability to follow along / understand technical issues, which can be valuable when creating realistic scenarios and solutions for training materials.
    • Ability to create and maintain impactful hands-on labs, ensuring learners master core concepts, along with experience in key tools such as JavaScript, Regex, Google Suite, markup languages, Bitbucket, and more
  • Instructional Design & Content Creation:
    • Experience developing and delivering technical training content tailored to diverse technical audiences and varying levels of product expertise.
    • Proven ability to collaborate with subject matter experts.
    • Experience in instructional design and an ability to produce high-quality, technically sound training materials.
    • The ability to think outside the box and come up with engaging and effective ways to present technical information.
    • A knack for creating visually appealing and informative materials, including diagrams, flowcharts, and other visual aids.
    • The ability to weave compelling narratives and real-world examples into training materials to make them more engaging and relatable.
    • The knowledge of how to adapt content to different learning styles and preferences, and create content that caters to diverse audiences.
    • Proficiency in a variety of authoring tools (Articulate, Captivate, etc.) and Learning Management Systems / Learning Content Management Systems.
    • Understanding of how to create / deploy interactive educational content (labs, sandboxes, software simulations, etc.).
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
    • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • A passion for technology and a desire to share your knowledge with others.
    • Openness to share and receive feedback as a part of a learning team

Salary Range 

($113,000 - $142,000)

The salary for this role is dependent on geographic location. The salary offered within the range described will be based on the individual candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  In addition to a competitive salary, Cribl also offers a generous benefits package which includes health, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance, paid holidays and paid time off, a fertility treatment benefit, 401(k), equity, and eligibility for a discretionary company-wide bonus.
