The Supervisor of Systems Engineering Infrastructure will lead a team responsible for capturing product requirements from stakeholders, designing system architectures, facilitating communication between functional teams, and driving the development and implementation of best practices in Digital Technology Services (DTS) for the Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) network. Leads the Systems Engineering (SE) Infrastructure and/or Identity & Services team in the design, development, and implementation of services. SE Infrastructure also supports server hardware, Operating System, and server virtualization infrastructure; while SE Identity & Services also supports Enterprise Directory and Identity Services, Messaging, Certificate Management, Domain Name System (DNS), and other appropriate services.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Supervisor of Systems Engineering Infrastructure at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

• Provide infrastructure and application support (administration, configuration, Incident Management, and monitoring) for Server related systems in a 24/7 highly available environment.
• Perform root cause analysis and fault isolation to troubleshoot environmental, server, and application availability issues.
• Leads projects involving the deployment, administration, and support of critical infrastructure applications and systems onto Windows and Cloud platforms.
• Works closely and coordinates with other DTS managers and non-technical business units to define and implement a multi-faceted array of technical service projects.
• Drives improvement in processes, manageability, availability, and cost efficiency with a strong ability to anticipate future demands, growth, and competitive trends.
• Analyzes Servers and initiates corrective actions to ensure operational stability and efficient workflow.
• Provides Server Identity and Services expertise and guidance to the team and promotes staff development.
• Makes recommendations and assists with the development of departmental policies and procedures as well as departmental and organizational process improvement efforts.
• Promotes teamwork, and facilitates inter-team and intra-team communication.
• Is an escalation point for related Infrastructure and/or Identity & Services issues related to team efforts and tasks.
• Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
• Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of related IT experience.
• Minimum of 7+ years of IT experience preferably in healthcare or related field(s).
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Knowledge of advanced techniques, theories, and processes to complete work.
• Team player and ability to multitask in a progressive environment.
• Ability to interact with all levels of organization and staff in one-to-one settings and group presentations.
• Ability to organize and coordinate actions of small groups to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
• Works independently and effectively manages time unsupervised.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Creates and maintains clear, concise documentation.

• Demonstrates self-direction.
• Proven maturity and strength in team leadership, team building, communication, coaching, and providing timely essential feedback to others.

• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Preferred experience in Team Leadership.
• Familiarity with Large Enterprise Server Infrastructure including Hardware and Operating Systems.
• Familiarity with Cloud Technologies and Infrastructure.
• Experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Change Management Processes.
• Specific to server engineering infrastructure familiarity with Server Virtualization; and experience with Server Management, Migrations, and Maintenance are also a plus.
• Specific to server engineering identity & services familiarity with Managing Directory Services, Single Sign-On, and Certificate Management; familiarity with Managing Messaging and Collaboration Technologies, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suites; and experience with DNS, VPN, E-Faxing, and Identity Management are also a plus.
