At Kairos Power, we’re on a mission to revolutionize clean energy and improve lives through innovative nuclear technology, and we’re searching for a dedicated Licensing Engineer in Civil and Construction Engineering to join our team. This important role will have you diving into the nuts and bolts of our ground-breaking fluoride-salt-cooled, high-temperature reactors (FHR). Working out of locations such as Alameda, CA, Albuquerque, NM, Charlotte, NC, or Oak Ridge, TN, you'll provide essential support in developing our Hermes test reactor facility Operating License Application (OLA). If you have a BS or MS in Nuclear, Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering paired with at least 3 years of engineering design experience—particularly in seismic, geotechnical, or hydrological areas—you could be a great fit. Even if you don’t have nuclear licensing experience, we are eager to train you to help us navigate the intricacies of regulatory processes. Your daily tasks will involve collaborating closely with project management and engineering teams, preparing regulatory submittals, and helping us maintain robust compliance with the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (USNRC). If you pride yourself on your problem-solving skills, collaborative spirit, and desire to learn within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment, your future at Kairos Power could be a bright one. Join us in making clean energy a reality!
Our mission is to enable the world’s transition to clean energy, with the ultimate goal of dramatically improving people’s quality of life while protecting the environment.
