We are seeking a Full-time Business Development Manager who will focus on driving sales growth and acquiring new customers for MSNW within the defined territory of Washington State, along the I-5 corridor from I-90 south to Olympia, WA. Ideally based in Tacoma, WA, this role requires a self-starter who excels in service sales and has the motivation to achieve ambitious goals in a highly competitive industry. Responsibilities include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, creating and maintaining a robust customer pipeline, and managing the end-to-end sales process from initial contact to close. The Business Development Manager will actively participate in networking events, conduct site visits, and maintain ongoing client relationships through regular communication and engagement.


The role also involves collaboration with internal teams to ensure smooth customer transitions and the delivery of high-quality services aligned with client expectations.


Shift:

Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM


Pay:

$75,000 - $80,000 salary + Commission

Requirements

Must-Haves:

  • Service Sales Experience – Proven experience in selling services (e.g., B2B, direct sales, or consultative sales).
  • Motivation and Drive – Self-starter with a strong work ethic, a proactive approach to challenges, and a willingness to go the extra mile to achieve results.
  • Field Experience with Cold Calls – Demonstrated ability to successfully perform cold calls and initiate conversations with potential clients in person and over the phone.
  • Comfort with Door-to-Door Sales and Drop-Ins – Confidence and willingness to engage in face-to-face sales with potential clients, including unplanned visits.
  • Basic Computer Skills – Proficiency in using email, CRM systems, spreadsheets, and other basic business tools.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills – Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Effective Presentation Skills – Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations tailored to client needs, both in-person and virtually.
  • Goal-Oriented Mindset – Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and work independently to achieve objectives.
  • Professional Appearance and Demeanor – Presentable and professional, appropriate for interacting with clients.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record and Reliable Transportation – Ability to travel locally for client visits and sales meetings.
  • Successful completion of a background check

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

This role requires frequent travel (75% of the time) within the designated territory to meet clients and prospects. The candidate must be comfortable working in a variety of environments, from office settings to outdoor facilities, and performing physical tasks such as site walkthroughs. Regular sitting, standing, and light physical activity, such as carrying marketing materials, are expected. The work environment is fast-paced, with shifting priorities and deadlines. Flexibility and a proactive approach are essential to success in this role.
