TITLE: Vice President
LOCATION: New York, NY (A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with company policies.)
DUTIES: Lead diligence and evaluation of new investment opportunities through in-depth business analysis, financial modeling, industry research and meetings with financials sponsors and management teams. Perform detailed industry, market, competition and financial analysis and dataroom analysis that forms the basis for new debt and equity investments of the firm. Prepare various complex financial models including cash flow analysis, covenant compliance, investment returns, debt sizing and structuring. Prepare and present investment committee memos to the investment committee and synthesize investment thesis, merits and risks, diligence findings and transaction/legal terms. Lead review, negotiations and execution of legal documentation including term sheets, commitment/fee letters, credit agreements and purchase and sale agreements. Analyze and monitor investment performance of existing portfolio companies through ongoing financial review and management interaction. Help manage external relationships with various stakeholders including clients, lawyers and investors. Train and mentor junior team members. Assist with ad-hoc analyses and projects related to the private debt team including marketing/fundraising workstreams.
REQTS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Finance, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience on the buyside in the investment banking, private credit, and/or private equity field in the position offered, as a Financial Analyst, or a related position. Must have five (5) years of experience with all of the following: Performing detailed industry, market, competition, and financial analysis that forms the basis for new debt and equity investments of the firm; Managing entire investment underwriting and due diligence process including data room analysis, preparing investment memos, and leading investment committee discussions; Preparing complex Excel financial models and analyses including cash flow analysis, covenant compliance, investment returns, debt sizing/structuring, and trading/transaction comps; Leading meetings with management teams and sponsors when assessing new investment opportunities and monitoring the existing portfolio; Leading legal documentation/negotiation process including term sheet/grid responses, commitment papers, credit agreements, and amendments; Monitoring existing portfolio companies through updating investment valuations, preparing quarterly portfolio reports, conducting ongoing financial reviews, tracking market activities, and interacting/negotiating with other lenders and management teams; Working with Capital IQ, Bloomberg, AlphaSights, GLG, and Third Bridge; and Utilizing v-lookup, macros, and pivot tables, and building leveraged buyout (LBO) models in MS Excel.
TRAVEL REQT: 20% domestic and international travel is required to various and unanticipated company and client sites.
HOURS: Full-Time; Mon-Fri (40 hrs/week)
SALARY: $220,000 - $230,000 per year

Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $220,000-$230,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package.
