Job Description

The Opportunity

Salary Offer: $81,621 - $85,124 Per Annum + Superannuation

We are currently searching for a Trader who has experience in racing to undertake trading of events in line with Racing and Wagering WA’s overall trading and risk strategies to maximise revenue rates and drive customer engagement levels.

This position can be undertaken remotely and applicants within Australia under eligible visas are encouraged to apply.

This interesting and diverse role will see you:

  • Ensure all event creation (manual and feed) is completed with product displaying correctly on RWWA customer facing channels
  • Manually compile odds for designated product where required
  • Undertake profiling of account clients and retail agencies, applying templated risk management parameters where required
  • Identify any areas of opportunity and risk for RWWA as an outcome of day-to-day live trading and risk management duties
  • Act as an escalation point to assist in timely resolution of any customer disputes or stake-holder requests for information
  • Identify areas of inherent risk or opportunity, ensuring detailed feedback is relayed to the senior trading team to review and action
  • Act as an escalation point for internal RWWA customer facing teams to assist in the resolution of any customer disputes and/or stake holder requests for information
  • Actively contribute to our product management portfolio, identifying any new opportunities and providing support to product squads where required
  • Adhere to Occupational Safety and Health (OS&H) legislation and policies

Qualifications

About You 

  • Minimum 3 years wagering industry experience, with at least 18 months in a trading and/or risk management role
  • An extensive knowledge of Fixed Odds racing products and a general passion for racing
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively execute pre-determined strategies
  • Experience in operating trading platforms with the ability to operate multiple proprietary systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed mathematical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse and evaluate data in order to make substantiated decisions
  • Ability to prioritise conflicting demands in order to meet strict deadlines
