KIP Summer 2025 - Editorial Intern - Foundation for Economic Education

The Koch Internship Program (KIP) is a paid, 10-week experiential learning program run by Stand Together Fellowships that offers meaningful work experience at non-profits all over the country tackling some of our nation’s most pressing challenges. Throughout your internship with a partner organization, Stand Together Fellowships hosts virtual professional development sessions every Thursday from 1-5 pm ET, wherein you will be mentored by seasoned professionals as you craft a capstone project on the topic that matters most to you.  Interns will receive either a $5,500 or $3,300 stipend from Stand Together Fellowships depending on whether they are participating full-time (40 hours/week) or part-time (28 hours/week).

 

Successful candidates will interview with both our non-profit partner organizations and Stand Together Fellowships staff, so we strongly encourage you to apply in advance!

About FEE's Editorial Team:

The Editorial department manages FEE’s publications, including the commentary page on FEE.org, scheduled newsletters, ebooks, and The Freeman. Beyond content production, the team curates thought-provoking analysis, refines messaging for clarity and impact, and ensures consistency across all editorial channels. By maintaining a high standard of intellectual rigor and accessibility, the department helps shape FEE’s voice in the liberty movement, amplifies its mission to new audiences, and fosters engagement through compelling storytelling and strategic content distribution.


This role is open to remote work, or in person work at FEE Headquarters in Atlanta, GA.


Responsibilities:
  • Assist in all areas of editorial work; from producing outputs for our text and media channels to coordinating with freelance contributors.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify potential themes for content coverage.
  • Provide vital administrative support to the editorial team, including document management, and filtering correspondence.


Skills:
  • Majors in English, Journalism, or Communications preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.) and willingness to learn new software and tools.
  • Independent and team-oriented, demonstrating a proactive and positive approach to work.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a creative and resourceful mindset.
