Primary duties and responsibilities:

Review special education files for newly enrolled students to determine compliance with state and federal regulations, as it pertains to eligibility determinations.
Facilitate the review of existing data with Student Intervention Team (SIT).
Co-facilitate the Student Intervention Team (SIT).
Oversee the evaluation process being conducted by outside contracted psychologists.
Administer assessments related to special education eligibility determinations face-to-face or virtually.
Score, analyze and interpret intellectual, academic, social/emotional/behavioral and other psychometric assessments.
Complete initial and triennial review evaluation reports and facilitate associated meetings.
Provide insight into the development of functional assessments and behavior intervention plans.
Provide trainings to special education staff, students, and families on related topics.
Coordinate and/or collaborate with a range of individuals/agencies to promote and provide comprehensive services to students and families.

Education/Training/Experience/Professional Requirements:

Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Verified Prints (IVP) fingerprint card
Valid Arizona Standard School Psychologist, Prekindergarten – 12 Certificate
Completion of a Graduate degree in School Psychology
At least 5 years’ experience in a School Psychologist position preferred

Environmental Conditions:

Usual office setting. Travel within the state of Arizona may be required.
