Summary

The Account Executive is a key role, responsible for achieving the sales and service objectives for UES by establishing and maintaining a professional business relationship with existing and prospective customers. The ideal candidate is a reliable, trustworthy individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment where both collaboration and autonomy are valued.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain existing customer accounts and developing new business
  • Generate sales leads that meet the company’s objectives
  • Represent the company in a professional, high-quality manner, including communications and interactions
  • Touch base regularly with direct supervisor (Branch Manager) to ensure focus on the services and clients that the organization wishes to grow
  • Provide all required documentation, and other communications necessary, to insure the timely and accurate completion of projects
  • Maintain a presence in the field with new and existing clients in support of the sales process and customer development effort. Use this to cultivate follow-on and referral business
  • Attends marketing and networking functions, such as golf tournaments, clay shoots, lunch & learns, etc. these events may be outside normal business hours
  • Plan, schedule, and visit clients and prospective clients as well as
  • Assist in proposal preparation and delivery for opportunities developed
  • Work collaboratively with Regional, Branch, and Department Managers, as well as other Account Executives, or Senior Account Executives to achieve goals
  • Be responsive to customer and client inquiries
  • Elicit customer feedback on project satisfaction and customer’s future needs
  • Maintain company and client confidentiality of pricings and bids
  • Use various websites to track new or pending opportunities for work
  • Utilize sales reporting and planning tools to manage your time and sales efforts properly and effectively
  • Communicate client/customer issues or concerns with a project(s) to the appropriate manager or supervisor
  • Use CRM, if applicable, to track and monitor leads, contacts, proposals, and sales goals
  • Research potential new customers and clients, which may require cold calling
  • Participate in required sales meetings
  • Follow-up on submitted proposals
  • Other duties may be assigned


Required Qualifications:
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record (in accordance with our Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record Check Criteria)
  • Ability to pass a background check screening in accordance with Florida’s Jessica Lunsford Act (or equivalent state classification).
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Ability to read & write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Knowledge of written communication formats and composition, including grammar and vocabulary. Ability to present to one or more people, including customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to speak effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers/clients.
  • Computer skills sufficient to operate a laptop and cell phone, including sending and receiving emails, prepare and present PowerPoint Presentations, and learn Deltek Vision, SAP Concur, and CRM software.
  • Mathematical skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw or create, and interpret, bar graphs.
  • Reasoning ability to handle multiple and changing priorities concurrently. Ability to work with problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to effectively communicate about products, services, and technical requirements to both the client/customer and employees within UES.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous sales and business development experience in the A/E/C industry


Physical Demands & Work Environment:
  • Required to drive, stand, walk, use hands to type, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, talk, and hear. Standing or sitting for extended periods of time may be required.
  • Lifting and/or moving up to ten pounds is expected.
  • The noise level is usually moderate.
