Role Overview:
Visa is seeking a seasoned and highly motivated leader to lead the Strategy & Operations function within VAS Product Development (PD). VAS PD drives the diversification of our revenue with products that differentiate our network and deliver valuable solutions across other rails. The team’s strategy is to increase value to clients by developing solutions that address complex and emerging client needs.
The Sr. Director, VAS PD Strategy and Operations, will partner closely with the SVP, VAS PD, and the VAS PD leadership team to define and articulate the organization strategy and translate that into an operating plan to run and measure the performance of the business. This role sits at the intersection of multiple product and technology organizations and functions requiring organizational savvy and strong interpersonal skills. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and make a significant impact on the VAS PD’s strategic direction and success. This role reports into the SVP, VAS PD.
This role requires a strategic visionary with a deep understanding of agile software development processes and technologies, along with a strong ability to lead and manage high-performing teams. This leadership role is essential to the successful growth and development of the organization. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, with a proven track record of leading successful teams and an ability to drive and manage change.
Specific Responsibilities:
Drives the overall VAS PD strategy in partnership with the SVP, VAS PD, and the VAS PD leadership team, develops VAS PD Goals and Objectives & Key Results (OKRs).
Ensures OKRs and KPIs align with big picture strategy and creates infrastructure to measure and report.
Serves as a liaison between the SVP, VAS PD, the VAS PD organization and key stakeholders, owns process and management of business planning activities including monthly, quarterly and annual business reviews.
Partners with Product team on monitoring and reporting on project portfolio management and performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Manages the multi-million VAS PD budget in partnership with Finance, maintains spend within established targets and ensures each investment is backed by key ROI metrics.
Leads the creation and development of all executive presentations including, but not limited to Technology Executive, Product Delivery Council, and Quarterly Business Review (QBRs) Reporting.
Manages the VAS PD Workforce Plan and evolves VAS PD workforce and organizational metrics, manages total headcount of 3,800+ to optimize location strategy across all global locations.
Scales Early Careers and Alternative Talent Pathway programs, in partnership with the People Team, to gain needed skillsets and tap into new talent pools.
Oversees contractor supplier management of SOWs and related performance.
Drives VAS PD employee engagement, recognition and organization communications strategy.
Supports a globally distributed team of 3800+ headcount.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Basic Qualifications
•12+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 9
years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD,
MD) or 6 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 15+ years of relevant work
experience.
Preferred Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's
degree or MBA is preferred.
•Minimum of 15 years of experience in project management in Product /
Software Development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role leading global
technology teams.
•PMP, Agile, Scrum, or similar project management certification is required.
•Proven experience in managing a PMO or technology business operations in a
software development environment, preferably within the financial services /
payments industry.
•Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies / principles and Product Lifecyle /
Roadmap management.
•Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
•Strong data / financial analysis skills.
•Deep Payments industry knowledge.
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 191,700.00 to 299,650.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
