The Finance team consists of detail-oriented, highly organized individuals who oversee the company's financial well-being while supporting operational and general business planning. We solve challenging accounting problems and provide financial analyses to determine key operational decisions within a growing and diversifying organization. We are dedicated to meeting new challenges head on at each milestone in Wayfair's development and can adapt to changes within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
This role will focus on assisting with general ledger accounting functions, audit inquiries & responses, and tax preparation. Daily responsibilities include posting journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, audit analytics, completing various tax returns, and responding to government inquiries and notices.

Wayfair Co-op Program Overview:
Based in Wayfair’s Boston headquarters, our co-op program is a six-month, full-time, paid program that runs twice annually in January to June and July to December. Through the co-op program, students have the opportunity to gain impactful professional experience in their major or career field of interest by fully integrating with Wayfair business units. In addition to exciting project work, Wayfair co-ops have the opportunity to build their professional networks, take advantage of training offerings, and attend social events throughout the program.
Wayfair's In-Office Policy:
All Boston-based interns, co-ops, and corporate employees will be in office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and work remotely Friday.

If you're looking to jumpstart your career in tax accounting, the Global Tax Co-op position at Wayfair in Boston is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience! Running from July 7 to December 19, 2025, this co-op program is designed for current undergraduate students in fields like Finance, Accounting, or Economics, who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a professional setting. You’ll be part of a dynamic Finance team, committed to supporting Wayfair’s growth and financial health. Your daily tasks will include posting journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, as well as preparing transaction tax returns. You will also assist in transaction tax audits and respond to audit-related inquiries. You'll work closely with various Finance stakeholders, gaining insights into financial reporting and compliance while collaborating with other teams. Strong Excel skills and a positive attitude will serve you well here, plus you'll need to be detail-oriented, able to work independently, and be returning to your studies after the co-op. With 40 hours a week from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, you’ll enjoy a vibrant office environment, and you'll be part of a community that values innovation and teamwork.
