Accounts Assistant

Looking for a job that’s more than just numbers?

Worldline NZ is on the hunt for an Accounts Assistant to join our small but mighty Finance team. If you think finance is all about calculators and spreadsheets, think again—we’re at the heart of New Zealand’s electronic payments, making transactions seamless for over 120,000 merchants. That’s 28 billion transactions and counting!

Why you’ll love this job Let’s be honest—some of this role will involve data entry and manual processing. But don’t let that scare you! This is your chance to learn and make your mark in an industry-leading company. Plus, you’ll get to work with a fun, supportive team who believe that a good laugh is just as important as a well-balanced ledger.

What you’ll be doing - You’ll be the right hand to our Senior Accountant, assisting across Accounts Payable, Receivable, Payroll, and Accounting Operations. Expect a mix of invoice processing, reconciliations, payroll support, and general finance wizardry. One day, you might be sorting out supplier payments; the next, you could be helping with GST returns or tracking customer revenue. Variety is the spice of life, after all!

What we’re looking for - We don’t expect you to be an accounting guru from day one, but we do need someone who’s keen, curious, and ready to give things a go. You should be:

Organised and detail-obsessed with Intermediate experience of accounting activities and strong Microsoft Excel skills

A problem-solving pro with great communication skills

A team player who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves

Someone who can laugh at their own Excel formula fails (we’ve all been there).

What’s in it for you?

A collaborative, tight-knit Finance team that supports each other (and shares the occasional meme)

A mix of office and remote work—you choose where you do your best thinking

A chance to grow and learn in a company that sits at the heart of New Zealand’s digital payments scene.
