About the role
We are looking for an experienced Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Engineer to establish and lead our compliance function as the first GRC team member. This individual contributor (IC) role is critical to managing and automating compliance requirements, ensuring the organisation achieves and maintains key certifications such as SOC and ISO.
What will you do?
Set up continuous GRC for Atlan, and aim to reduce the audit period.
Build the foundation of the GRC function and establish compliance processes from the ground up.
Work directly with auditors to meet regulatory and certification requirements (e.g., SOC and ISO).
Leverage modern compliance tools like Vanta and OneTrust to automate and streamline processes.
Use automation and AI technologies to enhance the efficiency of compliance and risk management activities.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all compliance-related activities and audits.
What makes you a great match for us? 😍
Proven experience and expertise (4–12 years) in compliance engineering, IT, or security with a recent focus on automation and modern compliance tools.
Expertise in using tools like Vanta, OneTrust, and other relevant technologies in the compliance ecosystem.
Proven ability to execute as an individual contributor and a strong preference for hands-on work.
Deep understanding of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks, with experience managing SOC and ISO certifications.
A passion for establishing and scaling processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
