Hospice Intake RN or LVN **Medical Front Office

Central Coast Home Health and Hospice is a fast-growing and locally owned organization with an excellent reputation throughout the San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties. We are constantly growing and now seeking a Part-time Intake Office RN or LVN to join our Hospice Intake team in the San Luis Obispo office.

The Intake Office Nurse is responsible for ensuring that patient care is coordinated and managed efficiently and effectively while working closely with a team. This individual must have the ability to answer multiple phone lines with accuracy and efficiency, answer staff questions, act as on-call supervisor when scheduled, coordinate and schedule all team member care/visits appropriately with the ability to stay on task and re-prioritize workload as needed. Work experience in home health preferred.

This position will be cross trained to complete various tasks throughout the department and responsibilities will vary day-to-day.

Work Schedule: Part-time hours, Thursday – Friday 8:00-5:00 (SLO Office) with an on-call rotation once every 7-8 weeks.

Qualifications:

          *Current CA Registered Nurse (RN or LVN)

          *Minimum one (1) year professional work experience in nursing (LVN &/or RN experience)

           *Must have previous work experience in a busy office environment

           *Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred

           *Excellent written & verbal communication skills

           *Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism

            *Knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook and Word), as well as EMR, and the ability to                      type at least 40 wpm
