Description

As the Sr. Director Program Management, you will be in a unique position to help guide teams in delivering exceptional value creation across the largest business segment at Copeland.  You will help lead the program management for a portfolio of products reaching up to $1.6B in annual revenue. You will be responsible for developing and executing initiatives that span a wide range of disciplines and bring together functions and subject matter experts from all areas and disciplines of the broad business.  You will lead program management for new product development, product lifecycle management, product offering strategies, product cost management, process improvement, business value delivery initiatives, and profit enhancement as well as be a strong resource for solving complex and ambiguous business wide opportunities. You will also have a great effect on talent development within your field and in growing the capabilities of the teams you lead and inspire to produce positive business outcomes.

As the Senior Director – Program Management, ​you will:

  • Lead large new product development initiatives by guiding your team to identify and manage multiple parallel projects
  • Identify and form cross functional teams across nearly every business discipline, carefully crafted to enable results, speed, and resource optimization
  • Oversee the program management and product portfolio decisions that enable effective product lifecycle actions to drive value creation
  • Drive product insight that will form up the product offering strategies and actions
  • Collaboratively drive revenue growth through effective actions that support new product launches, transitions or changes
  • Communicate with passion and persuasion to senior executives, peer groups and organizational segments of all types and levels
  • Understand and then execute process improvements both within your core responsibilities, but also into other process opportunities within the greater business
  • Ascertain profit improvement opportunities, scope the needed changes, and build teams and action plans to deliver those identified results
  • Align with enterprise PMO initiatives, drive business implementation, and provide value add insight to help guide PMO effectiveness
  • Maintain a global perspective while enabling regional adaptation for complex business changes
  • Balance broad stakeholder needs with business outcomes and drive to measurable results

Required education, experiences & skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Technical, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • Excellent program management skills in a complex, cross-functional industrial environment
  • Proven track record of success in driving business initiatives within a matrixed, multi-site organization
  • High level communication skills including conveying complex topics in an understandable and simple way
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate business insights into actionable strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders at all levels without having direct authority to manage their efforts
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common goals
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong sense of urgency and initiative
  • Ability to see opportunities others do not, and to formulate strategies to scope the opportunity, engage stakeholder buy in, and form high functioning teams
  • Effective understanding of Lean processes and tools together with their appropriate application
  • Ability to travel up to 10-15% (national and international)

Preferred education, experiences & skills:

  • Master's degree preferred (MBA or similar)
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP) and industry certifications (e.g., CCIE, CDCP)
  • Global business leadership
  • HVAC industry experience a plus
  • Oracle system structure and interaction understanding

About our Location  

The newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for the air conditioning and cold chain businesses. Through our 30 years of scroll compressor expertise, our air conditioning related products help bring comfort and convenience in commercial, industrial and residential spaces. The cold chain business helps ensure that food safely and efficiently travels from farm to fork. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions. With the blend of businesses and functions represented under this one roof, there are many opportunities for advancement within the Sidney location.
