Travel & Events Coordinator - NYC

The Team:

Our Travel and Events team oversees the corporate travel program and internal events for Datadog.  The team helps to keep our employees safe, happy, and productive, which means every day is different. Facilitating business travel for many of our 7,000+ Datadogs around the globe, our travel program involves oversight of our airline and hotel partners as well as internal education of our travel policy. Events planned range from 50 person offsites to a 2,200+ person global sales conference including an annual sales incentive trip for some of our top performers.

The Opportunity:

We're looking for a Travel and Events Coordinator to join us in our New York-based HQ and help us scale our travel and events globally. This role will focus on our travel and internal events initiatives, while playing an active part in supporting our growing employee base around the world.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds, and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You'll Do:

  • Work unilaterally across every department and team at Datadog to ensure travelers have a smooth experience
  • Enforce our travel policy, create travel reports, and analyze trips to determine trends
  • Respond to travel-related inquiries
  • Support our internal teams with planning and executing global events
  • Conduct market research for event venue selection proposals
  • Provide real time support to event attendees
  • Minimal travel may be required for onsite events (less than 25%)

Who You Are:

  • A true people person with an empathetic and friendly demeanor
  • Eager to learn, grow, and contribute with a positive, team-player attitude
  • Flexible and adaptable, remaining calm under pressure
  • Incredibly organized with strong time-management skills
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented with a high standard for accuracy
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely in writing
  • Resourceful and proactive with strong problem-solving skills knowing when to ask for help
  • An active listener and quick learner, picking up new systems with ease
  • Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25lb
  • Able to work non-traditional hours if needed for events
  • 3 years work experience in either customer service or a comparable role working for multiple stakeholders (including college internships)

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.

Benefits and Growth:

  • Generous and competitive global and US benefits
  • New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan
  • Continuous career development and pathing opportunities
  • Product training to develop an in-depth understanding of our product and space
  • Best in breed onboarding
  • Internal mentor and buddy program cross-departmentally
  • Friendly and inclusive workplace culture

Benefits and Growth listed above may vary based on the country of your employment and the nature of your employment with Datadog.
