Tech Placement Recruiter - Contract Position

Generation West Virginia is seeking a third party recruitment partner to provide support in placing NewForce graduates and alumni in tech positions throughout the state.

 Job Summary:

This role will play a key role in placing NewForce student graduates and alumni in suitable technical roles, preparing them for interviews and supporting their transition into the workforce.

 As a Tech Placement Recruiter, you will be responsible for placing top-tier technical professionals with recent upskilled competency in Data Analytics.  You will work closely with Technical hiring managers to develop recruitment placement strategies, identify the best talent in the industry, and ensure a smooth hiring process. Your role will be crucial in placing our boot camp graduates in technical roles throughout West Virginia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with West Virginia hiring managers to understand technical hiring needs and source candidates from NewForce students and alumni.
  • Place NewForce graduates and alumni in technical roles through various channels, including job boards, networking, social media, and referrals.
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings to assess skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including scheduling interviews, coordinating with hiring teams, and facilitating offers.
  • Build and nurture relationships with NewForce students and alumni.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to refine recruitment strategies.
  • Promote the NewForce brand and ensure a positive candidate experience.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Tech Recruiter, Talent Acquisition Specialist, or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of technical roles, programming languages, and IT industry trends especially in the state of West Virginia
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience recruiting for startups or tech companies.
  • Familiarity and access to sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, and Stack Overflow.
  • Demonstrated success in placing candidates in Tech roles.
