Location Fountain Valley, CA Purpose • The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees. • The position serves as a business partner on human resource-related issues, acting as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs and develops integrated solutions. The position collaborates across the HR function to provide value-added services to both management and employees, aligning with the organization's business objectives. Major Responsibilities • Uses advanced knowledge to establish and maintain trusted advisor/business partner relationships by consistently meeting with the division. • Support HR administration to ensure consistency, data integrity, and compliance with HR policies and procedures. • Provide data-heavy support for the Manager, HR Business Partner at Genesis by preparing monthly updates. This involves reporting and creating comprehensive dashboards for executive presentations. • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the division to develop solutions, programs, and policies. • Conduct the termination process, which includes communicating with the employee and internal stakeholders, collecting equipment, coordinating termination administration, and maintaining coordination across Benefits, HR Operations, and Talent Acquisition. • Partner with HRIS for continuous headcount monitoring to ensure accurate recording of headcount in HRIS systems and organizational charts. • Support the HR Business Partner Manager. • Provide guidance and input on business function restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning. • Partner with Talent Management to offer guidance and input on restructures, workforce planning, talent reviews, and succession planning. Provide support during the performance evaluation process. Major Responsibilities (continued) • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management, such as coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions. • Assists with identifying training needs and individual coaching needs. Participating in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure their success. • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with HRBP management and the Legal Department as needed. • Use discretion to provide guidance and interpretation on business HR policies. • Ensure immediate responses to client questions. • Develop and maintain team standard operating procedures. • Ad hoc assignments may be necessary for process enhancement, process establishment, policy review, etc. • Perform other related duties and assignments as required. Authority • Provide recommendations to management regarding employees, business restructures, and necessary training programs. Education ~ Must be a high school graduate ~ Bachelor's degree preferred Related Experience • Five or more years of direct HR experience. • OEM industry experience preferred Skills/Knowledge • Broad knowledge of HR functions to exercise sound judgment in decision-making. • Ability to quickly build trusting relationships, gain credibility, and partner with leaders and peers. • Flexible, self-starter, able to manage multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment. • Problem-solving and analytical skills. • Experience in SAP or Vision preferred. Certification • PHR, SHRM-CP, or HRBP certification desired.
