Internal Audit Senior Analyst

Job Summary

The Internal Audit Senior Analyst will serve in an important role working in the areas of operational audits, special projects (e.g., investigations), SOX compliance, and department-wide initiatives. This role will offer you opportunities to work directly with various business partners across our global enterprise and learn about Kontoor Brands’ business and its business partners. You will have the opportunity to engage in every step of an audit including scoping, planning, fieldwork, supervision, and reporting. As an experienced contributor, you will play a pivotal role in both performing advanced audit work and providing assistance to other team members. 

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform audits and assessment projects from start to finish, including planning, risk assessment, identifying controls, creating audit procedures, testing work processes and controls, preparing workpapers, and developing conclusions about business processes, risks and controls, with limited supervision.
• Conduct process walkthroughs and testing associated with business process risks and controls.
• Work with management, external auditors, and other stakeholders to share knowledge, evaluate deficiencies/findings, and generate solutions.
• Lead multiple projects simultaneously and effectively manage timelines in order to deliver high quality work products in a timely and efficient manner with limited supervision.
• Work with management in performing enterprise risk assessment for assigned areas.
• Interact and communicate effectively with all levels of business management and with other team members.
• Act as a department resource for knowledge in critical subject matter areas and/or key business processes assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• BS/BA in Accounting, Business, or related experience.
• Certification/Licensure: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification preferred.
• Public accounting firm and external audit experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and Auditing Standards set by the Institute of Internal Auditors.
• Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) is a plus.
• Attention to details, and ability to work independently.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally, as needed, for audits (10% or less).
