We are looking for a Global People Manager, who will play a critical role in delivering all of our operational People activities to a high standard as we continue to grow. This includes implementing our People processes and supporting our line manager population, leading on payroll and benefits administration and managing our internal systems. They will be partnering across the business to ensure that People Operations are conducted efficiently and with accuracy, in line with our ambitious plan to become the leading transatlantic advisory firm to our clients.
Now in our twelfth year, Milltown Partners continues to invest in a world-class People function to support our high performing team. This new role will suit someone who enjoys working in a rapidly scaling business, with a team working across offices in London, Brussels, New York and San Francisco and in locations including Dublin and LA.
This will be a challenging and rewarding role for a candidate who is pro-active, detail oriented and is motivated by optimising People and Talent Operations to support our team to reach their full potential. The right candidate will be someone who has a collaborative and proactive mindset, with a strong blend of operational and advisory experience. This role will report into the Global People Director, playing a key part in the growing People and Talent Function.
Responsibilities of the role:
HR: Manage our global people policies and processes
-Support on performance-related employee relations matters, providing expert advice and ensuring best practice is followed. Working closely with the Global People Director as necessary.
-Work with the Global People Director to ensure our policies are compliant with relevant legislation (in the US working alongside our Professional Employer Organization, Just Works).
-Ensure that our HR policies and processes are well understood by line managers and leaders in the business and implemented fairly and consistently. This includes responsibility for updating where necessary to our Handbooks and policy documents located on Milltown Hall.
-Ensure that our commitments to inclusivity and wellbeing are central to all of our HR policies and processes
-Oversee essential work linked to our HR and people policies, for example managing parental leave and other medium- to long-term absences, performance support plans, maintaining accurate employee records for colleagues across the business.
-Work closely with our established global recruitment team to support them in ensuring we hire the best talent and onboard new joiners successfully, and manage the offboarding process effectively.
Payroll and Benefits: Being the main point of contact for payroll queries in the UK, US, Belgium and Ireland and managing the monthly payroll and benefits cycle, with the support from Global People Director and Finance team as needed.
-Responsible for preparation and submission of payroll data, including payrolled benefits, across our global offices in collaboration with the Global People Director and with support from our finance team. Monthly in Europe, Semi-monthly in the US.
-Work with the Office Managers in our locations and external suppliers to manage employee benefits, ensuring smooth administration and identifying opportunities to enhance their offering.
-Support the Global People Director and the finance team with salary and bonus reviews for all offices, with responsibility for communicating payroll changes and checks before final payroll submissions.
-Support the Global People Director on the annual salary benchmarking exercise across all markets.
Process and Systems Optimisation: Ensure efficiency and accuracy in end-to-end People Operations
-Take ownership of our current HRIS, HiBob, to ensure that data is up to date.
-Identify opportunities to improve people processes and systems, driving efficiency and ensuring a seamless employee experience.
-Explore and implement innovative AI tools to enhance People operations and employee engagement.
-Manage the HR/People Alias and ensure that matters and requests are dealt with efficiently and in a timely manner.
-Manage administration for any people related matters as requested
People Projects and Initiatives: Contribute to strategic initiatives around Learning & Development, DEI and Employee Engagement.
-Contribute to the delivery of our Talent Philosophy via the roll out of our Talent & Development project. Supporting the Global People Director ensuring that the programme operates smoothly and that we make the best use of available resources and tools.
-Support the Global People Director on ad hoc projects aimed at enhancing their employee experience and embedding our company values.
-Helping to manage the global performance and development review and goal setting process
Contributing to a collaborative and inclusive work environment
-Giving and receiving regular feedback to individuals at all levels in the firm
-Actively seeking input or assistance from others and reflecting their contributions in the work
