Responsibilities

Shag Driver responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Safely operate shag truck to relocate trailers to and from loading dock and trailer staging area
  • Strict compliance with Federal, State, and Company guidelines and policies for safety
  • Maintain trailer movement logs
  • Organize trailer staging area
  • Keep loading and staging area clean and free from trash and debris
  • Maintain shag truck to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Keep shag truck and trailers clean and free from trash and debris
  • Other duties as assigned

This is a safety sensitive position.  This is an on-site position.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates for the Shag Driver position should possess the following:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Exemplary safety record (with previous employers)
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Previous experience driving a shag truck and/or hauling trailers is preferred but not required
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to climb up into shag truck
  • Willingness to work and be on time when scheduled
  • Ability to work various shifts and on call as needed
  • Ability to comply with all safe work practices and procedures
  • Ability to communicate using two-way radio
