We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineering Manager who is both an individual contributor and a leader—someone who can build, mentor, and lead when needed. You’ll be hands-on in the codebase while also guiding the engineering team, ensuring smooth execution, and helping scale our platform.
As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you’ll split your time between leading and coding. You’ll write production-ready code, mentor engineers, and ensure technical excellence while also providing leadership. You’ll work across the stack, tackling everything from backend architecture to frontend development while ensuring the team delivers high-impact solutions.
Lead & Support the Engineering Team: Act as a mentor, unblock engineers, and provide technical guidance when needed.
Step In for the VP of Engineering: Help manage priorities, technical decisions, and team operations when necessary.
Be a Hands-On Engineer: Design, develop, and deploy full-stack solutions across our platform.
Own the Development Process: Help improve workflows, optimize sprints, and drive engineering best practices.
Ensure Scalability & Performance: Architect and optimize systems to handle growing data and user needs.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Product, Customer Success, and Leadership to deliver impactful features.
Review Code & Mentor Engineers: Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and help grow technical skills across the team.
7+ years of experience in full-stack software development with leadership responsibilities.
Strong backend experience (Python, Node.js, or similar) and frontend expertise (React, TypeScript, etc.).
Experience in scaling architectures, optimizing performance, and managing infrastructure.
Prior experience in leading or mentoring engineers in a startup or fast-moving environment.
A roll-up-your-sleeves mentality—you’re comfortable being an IC while leading at the same time.
Ability to thrive in ambiguity—you’re proactive, adaptable, and able to manage shifting priorities.
Strong communication & leadership skills, with the ability to step in and make technical decisions when required.
Experience with AI/ML, NLP, or media intelligence platforms.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and DevOps practices.
Hands-on experience with data pipelines and analytics-heavy applications.
