The Role...

As VP of People at Permutive, you will be a key driver of our success, leading the development and execution of our people function. You will be a champion for our employees, deeply connected to the pulse of the organization, and foster a thriving work environment where every employee can learn, grow, and do the best work of their lives. 

Permutive is uniquely positioned to disrupt the advertising industry and build a sustainable internet ecosystem, transitioning from a traditional SaaS model to a dynamic ecosystem business. You'll be an influential voice on the executive team, joining founders who are passionate about building a culture of accountability and deeply care about employee experience.

What you’ll be doing...

Operational Excellence

  • Drive operational efficiency within the People team by owning key system processes, ensuring high-quality, timely execution.

  • Lead day-to-day operations, continuously improve HR processes for accuracy and scalability, and leverage data and KPIs to optimize programs and decision-making.

  • Oversee the design and implementation of competitive, equitable, and compliant People programs and policies.

HR Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a small, high-performing team of HR and Talent professionals across London and the US. 

  • Foster a continued culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional career growth within the People team.

Employee Engagement:

  • Cultivate a deep understanding of the employee experience by actively listening, seeking feedback, and conducting regular pulse checks.

  • Be a visible and accessible leader, fostering strong relationships with employees at all levels.

  • Translate employee insights into actionable initiatives that improve engagement and well-being

Organizational Development

  • Drive organizational effectiveness by fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

  • Design and implement programs to enhance employee engagement, development, and retention.

  • Lead talent management initiatives, including performance management, succession planning, and leadership development.

Senior Leadership 

  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the organization.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive People strategies aligned with Permutive's business objectives and values.

  • Lead with decisiveness and intent and demonstrate the ability to analyse complex situations and make firm, forward-thinking decisions that drive our ambitious goals and intentions. 

  • Provide expert advice and guidance, and a willingness to challenge the executive team on people-related matters.

What you’ll need...

  • An excellent track record of progressive experience in HR leadership roles in the software industry. 

  • A proactive and engaged leader who is comfortable interacting with employees at all levels and is energised by being present and involved. 

  • Passionate about building and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. An advocate for DE&I and successfully implementing and executing plans to drive stronger engagement. 

  • Strong operational and project management skills with a technology and data-driven approach.

  • Success in translating business objectives into effective people team delivery.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels of the organization.

  • A genuine passion for understanding and supporting employees, with a demonstrated ability to build trust and rapport.

  • Deep knowledge of HR best practices, including compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, and talent acquisition.

What we're offering...

We take a structured, objective approach to salary-setting, which is based on marketing information, our compensation strategy, and your experience and capability assessed through our interview process. For a candidate who meets our requirements, we pay a base salary between $240,000 and $270,000 with a 20% bonus tied to company performance.

Work Your Way

Permutive trusts you to manage your time and deliver results. Our hybrid model allows you to choose where you work best, whether in your own productive space or our London (Farringdon) or New York (Union Square) offices. That said, none of us work alone; we are part of a team. 

To foster collaboration and connection, teams in these locations come together in person at least once a week and are encouraged to benefit from being in our offices to meet with teams more often. Commercial and customer-facing teams are encouraged to embrace in-person interactions to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues. 

Every Permutive employee gets together in person at the company’s Annual Kick Off for a week in February.  Each year’s event promises to be an exciting opportunity for us to come together, reconnect with colleagues, and align on our shared vision for the year ahead.
