Background

Since 1976, St. Joseph Center has been meeting the needs of low-income and homeless individuals and families in Venice, Santa Monica, Mar Vista, and surrounding communities.  The Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community organization that assists people without regard for religious affiliation or lack thereof through comprehensive case management and integrated social service programs.  The Center enjoys broad-based community support as well as a sponsored relationship with its founders, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet.  St. Joseph Center serves approximately 6,000 individuals annually.

Brief Description of Principal Activities

Multifaceted intervention, prevention, and education services are carried out at four sites on the Westside of Los Angeles.  St. Joseph Center’s integrated programs provide clients with concentrated and coordinated access to services according to the nature of their needs.

Job Description

SJC is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our Finance Team as the LAHSA Billing Manager. This role is pivotal in overseeing all aspects of grant and contract invoicing, and reporting.


Responsibilities

-Responsible for all LAHSA grant and contract invoicing, reporting, and related billing compliance.

-Partner with senior management to implement and manage grant financial activities in alignment with SJC standards.

-Assist in maintaining and improving systems for grants performance reporting and invoicing.

-Oversee the grant billing and contracts submission schedule, managing a logistical system for processing.

-Ensure all invoicing, financial reporting, and grant billing processes meet SJC quality standards.

-Collaborate with other SJC departments and funders to ensure resources are utilized appropriately.

-Respond to auditors and grant monitors during financial audits.

-Support the AVP of Finance with other contracts as necessary.

-Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements

LAHSA billing experience highly desirable

One year fund accounting and fiscal grants management preferred

Intermediate understanding of computer software systems.

 Hybrid (minimum 3 days in office, depending on workload)

Compensation: $30-$33/h
