Are you passionate about making a difference in the Medicare space? We’re looking for a Medicare Service Coordinator to drive and support Medicare sales activities while serving as a key resource for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
In this role, you’ll work closely with our Medicare Business Consultant, Agency andAccount Management teams, and customer experience specialists to ensure seamless coordination and education around Wellmark Medicare products. Plus, you’ll represent Wellmark at community events, employer health forums, and retiree gatherings helping individuals make informed decisions about their healthcare coverage.

Required:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, health care administration or other discipline or equivalent work experience.
Preferred:
Life and Health Insurance license required within 60 days of hire.
a. Executes the implementation of sold Employer Group Retiree Plans and Group Prescription Drug Plans, including the collection of required paperwork. Manage and coordinate post-sale activities internally, including working with sales operations, agency and account management team and other Wellmark teams to ensure smooth implementation of Medicare group sales.
b. Coordinates and manages the post-sale daily service activities for Wellmark’s Medicare business, including research to find resolutions to client issues within a timely manner. Track and monitor issues to identify business development opportunities to help drive continuous process improvements and efficiencies. Prepare group specific communications, documents, and/or necessary presentations and paperwork.
c. Prepares and delivers sales proposals for Employer Group Retiree Plans and Group Prescription Drug Plans to internal Wellmark account teams and external agents and consultants. Assists with providing answers to the RFP team related to retiree benefit inquiries.
d. Coordinates the scheduling of Medicare sales activities, working cross-functionally with Wellmark account teams, internal sales team and field service representatives. Assists with preparing and conducting Medicare sales and educational presentations for client meetings, open enrollment meetings and community events.
e. Coordinates renewal activities for groups. Manages the documentation for group accounts and ensures that changes and updates are processed accordingly. Coordinates internally with Wellmark account teams to ensure annual Medicare certification requirements are met before Group Prescription Drug Plan renewals are delivered.
f. Serves as subject matter expert for Group Prescription Drug Plans and is the Wellmark sales liaison for the region by participating and providing sales insights in the regional Sales & Marketing meetings.
g. Drives sales opportunities by establishing, cultivating and managing relationships with agents, consultants, group executives, and members to help execute plans to ensure we are working collaboratively to meet common objectives.
h. Executes agent recruiting efforts and other Medicare sales strategy tactics as assigned. Documents outcomes and reports trend findings to leadership.
i. Maintains a thorough understanding of Medicare Compliance requirement and annual Medicare updates and changes.
j. As assigned, responsible for special projects and assignments from leadership.
k. Other duties as assigned
