Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will report to the Accounting Manager and help transition, stabilize and continuously improve general accounting processes in Manila.
Responsible for performing general ledger maintenance and reconciliation as well as other duties to assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger (GL) close process based on all processes migrated to Finance Shared Services, as well as coordinating timely completion across the finance organization.
Demonstrate appropriate understanding & working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls, and apply them
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts including Cash, Fixed Asset, Prepaids & other accounts assigned by verifying, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies in Blackline.
Calculate and prepare journal entries to record accruals and reversals, maintain schedules supporting the accruals and reconcile to the general ledger
Maintain Fixed Asset module, run monthly depreciation and reconciliation.
Ensure Prepaid account additions are accurate & run monthly amortization.
Assist in general accounting JE & recon preparation and analysis
Assist with audits by providing supporting records and documentation.
Handle Daily/ Weekly/ Adhoc report(s) required internally.
Participates & supports continuous improvement initiatives by providing ideas/pain points/recommendations during data gathering.
Coordinate and work with the business partners during and after process migration.
Create & update Playbooks to document all processes assigned & for business continuity purposes.
Help ensure that all Service Level Agreement (SLAs) are met and delivered according to specified metrics.
Support global business partners on flexible working hours during month-end close.
Perform other special projects and analyses as directed by the Process Lead or Manager.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA and experience in a SAAS company is an advantage.
Preferably with at least 3 yrs experience in General Accounting.
Good verbal and written communication skills required.
Flexible working schedule during critical/ closing week to support global business requirement
Pro-active individual who has the ability to work with a diverse team.
With high attention to details
Intermediate MS Excel skills required (VLooksUps, Pivot Tables, etc.)
Netsuite, Blackline, Coupa system experience is a plus
