As we execute our corporate strategy and ensure we continue to supply products to patients at the right quality, service level and cost, how we configure our manufacturing network to meet these strategic objectives is critical to Technical Operations success. 
 
Key Responsibilities
•    Responsible for leading the development and deployment of manufacturing network strategies across the end-to-end supply chain which meet the needs of the current product portfolio and the emerging pipeline
•    Create and communicate clear and concise Network Design principles to support network strategies and clear site purposes
•    Create and communicate meaningful network guidance across the network in partnership with cross functional heads. This includes gaining leadership alignment and endorsement of core/non-core capabilities, network roadmaps, product portfolio and site missions.
•    Complete near to long term analysis of demands, capacity, constraints and options to facilitate strategic decisions. Assess network economics, options analysis and risk assessments in support of proposals.
•    Lead cross functional teams to propose investments in new capacities and capabilities, rationalization of legacy assets and identification of leveraging/partnering opportunities to ensure an agile, resilient, and cost-effective network.
•    Create coherent strategy and prioritization across products with similar profiles (technology, process, and capabilities, etc.)
•    Maintain strong connections to the upstream pipeline via Technical Development Services as well as the downstream Commercial and BU needs via Supply Chain / Value Stream organization to ensure solutions incorporate broad and diverse insights while ensuring end-to-end optimization.
•    Develop and advance digital solutions to improve the efficiency, accuracy and consistency of assessments
•    Build and maintain external connections relevant to identifying marketplace and industry trends.
•    Drive analysis and decisions required from a planned or unplanned ‘trigger event’ (e.g., uptick in demand, capacity gap, etc.) and ensure network assessments are triggered where capacity and capability gaps exist
•    Establish tracking and reporting mechanisms to ensure relevant network strategy decisions are integrated into business plans and remain on track to deliver against targets
•    Participate as directed in other projects to support the Network Strategy Team objectives.

Strategic thinking: ability to analyze complex situations, identify key trends and opportunities and make decisions that align with overarching TOPS and Corporate goals

Technical Knowledge: understand key principles, assumptions, and technical considerations in relation to various biologics Drug substance, Drug product and Packaging processes, both internally and externally sourced 

Analytical and critical thinking: Demonstrated ability to work with existing information systems to gather and analyze data, synthesize qualitative and quantitative data; draw actionable insights, and develop a coherent story/presentation to drive action.

Change Leadership and influence: Demonstrated ability to articulate the “why”, develop coherent story, present to executive leadership, align stakeholders, push through challenges, navigate periods of uncertainty and lack of clarity, and be flexible to course correct the means while being focused on the ends.

 Minimum Requirements:
•    15+ years of experience in a Technical Operations organization with at least 5 years in functional leadership role at a site (eg. Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality)
•    Managed the development and execution of complex strategic initiatives, involving multiple stakeholders
•    Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams in a matrixed environment
•    Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Supply Chain. Data Analytics / Business Administration qualifications favorable additions.
•    APICS certification preferred
•    Program management of complex initiatives 
•    Six sigma, LEAN manufacturing certifications and practical experience desirable 
 
Travel required at up to 20% internationally.
