We provide early intervention mental health services to 12-25-year-olds across Australia, offering support through over 145 communities, online and phone counselling, vocational services, and schools.

  • Multiple part-time (0.8 FTE) positions available + Flexible workplace
  • Salary dependent on qualifications + Super + Salary Packaging benefits of up to $18,550    

EACH is thrilled to announce the establishment of our new headspace centre in Tasmania on Hobart’s Eastern Shore!  We are privileged to be able to work on the traditional lands of lutruwita Tasmania and connect with the community on the eastern shore of nipaluna Hobart. 

About the role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Clinician to join our dynamic team, providing vital mental health support to young people and their families. This is your opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of young people, using your expertise in assessment, therapy, and brief interventions.

As a Clinician, you’ll play a key role in supporting young people on their mental health journey by:

  • Client Access & Intake: Provide client-focused access and intake services to young people and their families.
  • Needs Assessment & Referral: Assess client needs and connect them to appropriate services across Mental Health, AOD, Primary Health, and Work & Study.
  • Evidence-Based Interventions: Deliver effective mental health interventions, focusing on single session frameworks and brief treatment models for mild to moderate issues.
  • Family Engagement: Involve families in treatment planning and support.
  • Flexible Service Delivery: Offer services from various locations, including co-located premises.
  • Clinical Reviews & Escalation: Present cases at clinical reviews and escalate care as needed.
  • Student & Graduate Support: Support students and graduates on placement within the intake team.
  • Health Promotion: Lead health promotion activities in the centre and community.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate client data and reports, meeting service KPIs.
  • Project Work: Participate in project-based clinical work as directed.

About you
We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinician with a strong foundation in assessment and therapeutic counselling, particularly with young people, along with the following:

  • Experienced Clinician: Skilled in assessment, therapeutic counselling, and brief interventions with young people.
  • Mental Health Expertise: Proficient in risk assessments, mental state exams, and managing diverse mental health issues.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using electronic client management systems.
  • Strong Multitasker: Able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Effective Communicator: Clear and confident in both face-to-face and telehealth interactions.
  • Group Work: Experienced in leading self-esteem and anxiety management groups.
  • Family-Focused: Engages families in treatment planning and support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor-level qualification in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Registered Nurse, Provisional Psychologist or a related discipline.
  • Must maintain relevant annual registration and/or membership of professional body.
