Oversee the development and management of financial models, cost projections, and budgeting for benefits programs to ensure fiscal sustainability and competitiveness.
Benchmark Ivy Tech’s benefits offerings against peer institutions and industry best practices to maintain a competitive advantage in talent acquisition and retention.
Supervise and provide leadership to the Executive Directors of Benefits, ensuring effective administration of benefits, leave management, and employee wellness programs.
Assess current and future data infrastructure needs for benefits analytics, whether through proprietary solutions or vendor-provided tools, to enhance data-driven benefits strategy and decision-making.
Analyze program effectiveness by developing and evaluating critical metrics to measure financial KPIs, employee engagement, and desired outcomes.
Monitor, assess, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits and healthcare. Engage in legislative review and advocacy efforts through Ivy Tech’s existing channels or directly with policymakers when appropriate.
Identify opportunities to enhance employee experience and engagement through innovative benefits strategies and clear, effective communication efforts.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership on trends, risks, and opportunities related to employee benefits and healthcare analytics.
Ensure the college adheres to all federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
Oversee the creation and maintenance of an inventory of benefits programs, tools, and resources to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop and oversee procurement strategies to optimize benefits solutions, ensuring alignment with institutional needs and long-term sustainability.
Oversee all benefits-related Vendor Management & Contract Negotiation:
Design and lead Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for benefits-related services.
Negotiate contracts with vendors to attain best-in-class terms, ensure compliance, and meet strategic benefit goals.
Manage contracted vendors to ensure service expectations, performance metrics, and contract terms are being met or exceeded.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in benefits strategy, healthcare analytics, financial analysis, or a related field.
Strong leadership experience, including direct supervision of professional staff.
Expertise in financial modeling, data analysis, and benchmarking in employee benefits.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with organizational goals.
In-depth knowledge of federal and state benefits regulations, compliance requirements, and industry trends.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Experience working in higher education or public-sector organizations is a plus.
