VP Business Development

🍊Our mission

All new medicines need to undergo clinical trials to show they’re safe and effective. But today’s clinical trial infrastructure is stuck in the past, and the cost of developing new medicines has skyrocketed as a result. Patients have to wait longer and pay more for new treatments.

Our mission is to fix this; we use software to help innovative companies run faster, more reliable, and patient-friendly clinical trials. We’re still a young company, but we’ve already had a big impact. Since founding the company in March 2021 we’ve helped run over 80 clinical trials involving tens of thousands of patients, with a customer NPS of 100.

We recently raised a $18m Series A round from some great investors including Creandum, Peter Thiel and Firstminute to power the next stage of our growth.

🍊About the role

We’re looking for a Vice President of Business Development to turbo-charge our growth. You will be responsible for owning and building the business development function, and helping shape our overall company and commercial strategy. Our business development function sits alongside our Marketing function and our Solutions function (crafting proposals and clinical trial designs for customers).

You will report to Meri Beckwith, co-founder. This role will be based in either the UK or US.

🍊About you

We’d like to hear from you if…

  • Experience in a senior commercial role at a B2B startup that went from early stages of commercial development and grew to a more developed commercial team

  • Good familiarity with clinical trials and medical product development is strongly preferred, ideally from having sold CRO or clinical trial related products and services before

  • Experience building a team, including hiring, mentoring and coaching team members

You belong here! If your experience and interests match with some of the above, we want you to apply.

🍊What you’ll focus on

  • An opportunity to own and build the sales/BD function of a hyper growth startup solving one of healthcare’s most important problems

  • Shape Lindus Health’s commercial and company strategy, feeding back insights gleaned from speaking to potential customers, and working alongside our marketing and solutions teams

  • Hire, build and mentor our nascent sales team, acting initially as a ‘player coach’, including setting sales quotas, compensation plans. You will be expected to lead some sales conversations (particularly for high priority/value deals) but this role won’t have an individual quota

  • Accountable for overall company bookings and revenue growth

  • Build scalable sales motions and playbooks that will help take Lindus Health to world domination in the clinical trial space

🍊What we offer

  • Have an impact across all areas of our business and fix one of the world’s most broken industries

  • Competitive salary, plus generous stock options

  • Unlimited holidays; everyone is encouraged to take off at least 28 days each year

  • Regular team events; recently we've been to Legoland, a Bake Off competition, and a Millwall FC home game (decided by popular vote)

  • Up to $2000 per year towards courses and development

  • A new laptop as your main workstation

🍊Our hiring process

  • Initial chat with George, Director, Talent. (30 minutes)

  • Second call with Meri, co-founder (30 minutes)

  • Functional Interview with Meri or Michael, co-founders and Shawn (VP Marketing) (45 minutes)

  • Values Interview with 1 of our co-founders and meeting members of the wider team (30 minutes)
