What We Offer

We are looking for a skilled Software Developer Specialist (Java/Python) – NMS SaaS with Software Engineering and/or Data Engineering experience, and ideally having worked in a SaaS delivery team/environment providing a variety of expertise to effectively and efficiently service our growing global list of customers. The role is based in Sydney with the Market Surveillance delivery and service team supporting Nasdaq’s SaaS customers.

What You Will Do

  • Reviews system requirements and implements according to defined standards and requirements including; coding, testing, debugging; building; implementation and delivery of an overall solution release.

  • Reviews / provides feedback on systems software design requirements and works with architects and project leads to implement intended solution designs

  • Perform end to end SaaS delivery and support activities as part of the service we provide - such as onboarding new customers, performing upgrades, and rolling out updates to the service and supporting those deliveries

  • Automation of operational processes related to the aforementioned activities

  • Develop and integrate software with deployment and automation pipelines

  • Contribute and implement changes to increase the level of automation and quality as part of performing delivery activities

  • Customer management activities – work directly with customers as part of onboarding and support / resolution activities to help contribute to customer satisfaction and end to end resolution of issues

  • Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements operating systems components, software tools and utilities.

  • Develops security solutions for assignments increasing in complexity.

  • Provides application software development services or technical support typically in a defined project.

  • Develops program logic for new applications or analyses and modifies logic in existing applications.

  • Modifies existing internal software products to add to new functions, adapt to new hardware, improve performance or enhance product usability.

  • Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency and makes changes as required.

What We Expect

  • Education: Degree qualified in a discipline related to Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.

  • At least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering and/or Data Engineering using Java/Python.

  • Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc..) is nice to have.

  • Special Qualifications: Maintains certifications in programming and/or scripting languages.

  • In unison with our hybrid working arrangement – some flexibility with regard to working arrangements will be required ; from time to time, you will be required to join calls with overseas working teams or customers that may be outside of the regular core working hours.

  • Ideally: Experience working in a SaaS software delivery team / organization with breadth of experience including development, automation, and operations of SaaS delivery solutions.

Our work arrangement is hybrid. You will be coming into the office at least 2 days per week.
