Description

 

Prisma is searching for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our growing marketing logistics company and take the lead in shaping the employee experience across our Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Nashville locations. As a operational business partner to leadership, you’ll have the opportunity to drive recruitment, enhance workplace culture, and ensure compliance for a team of 250 employees.

What You’ll Do

 

  • Execute core HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, workers’ compensation, and compliance training.
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard new employees, ensuring smooth integration and I-9 verification.
  • Provide HR guidance, policy interpretation, and support for leadership in coaching, corrective actions, and investigations.
  • Assist with FMLA, ADA requests, and compliance with mandatory training programs.
  • Maintain knowledge of employment laws to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate legal risks.
 

Qualifications


What You’ll Need

  • 3–5 years of HR Generalist experience with knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including compliance, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS/talent management systems (Paycom preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
