The Opportunity
QVC's Video Commerce/Studio Production Team has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to become the Culinary Provisions Associate at our live studio in West Chester, PA.
Under the guidance of the Culinary Provisions Supervisor the Provisions Associate is responsible for the development of strategies related to QVC’s Culinary provisions inventory. This includes strategic initiatives around food inventory, food stock and rotation, receiving and breaking down pallets of food and produce, and proper labeling and dating of the inventory. In addition, the Provisions Associate is responsible for developing and communicating the strategy for all outside vendors about provisions entering and exiting the culinary department.
The Provisions Associate is responsible to make decisions regarding the efficient repair and maintenance of culinary equipment. Individuals in this position are responsible for making independent decisions that optimize the value of assets, storage, and space.
The Culinary Provisions Associate will work closely with internal customers groups (Studio Team, Scenic Production, and Content Production) advising on all matters and best practices related to the culinary provisions inventory. Individuals in this position are responsible for the development and management of relationships with external vendors and asset providers.
Your Impact
Maintain a strong partnership with Culinary Stylist and Culinary Leads
Going through scopes of work to order in components and recipe items from Instacart. Monitoring Instacart order while it is being pulled for substitutions and items out of stock.
Ordering of Produce from American Kitchen
Receiving in and putting away and rotating American Kitchen orders/product
US Foods Ordering
Receiving in putting away and rotating US Foods orders
Putting away On-air food samples is designated locations and updating the Game plan with locations.
Upkeep of walk-in fridge, freezer and dry storage for cleanliness and organization.
Advise internal and external (vendors) customer groups on food inventory and best practices
Daily recap of tasks and projects to the Culinary Provisions Supervisor
Manage the testing of all studio kitchen equipment, prep kitchen equipment and submit a weekly kitchen Equipment Report on condition and Maintenance.
Work in unison with the Culinary Provisions Supervisor in the maintenance and upkeep of the Culinary Department equipment.
Work with outside services to schedule service or repair of kitchen equipment when needed.
Logging temps and cleanliness to the KER
Leadership:
Develop procedures to achieve departmental objectives
Educate and advise peers and partners on systems and established procedures
Build and develop relationships with internal and external business partners to ensure shared success
What You Bring
2+ years of experience
Knowledge of inventory management systems
Knowledge of a commercial kitchen environment
Culinary degree is a plus!
