Manager, Compensation

What you get to do:

As our Compensation Manager, you’ll help lead the design, evaluation, modification and implementation of compensation strategies and policies that will enable us to attract, hire and retain the outstanding talent PRKS is known for. You will ensure our compensation system is best-in-class and in compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements. You will:

  • Analyze compensation policies, government regulations, and prevailing wage rates to develop competitive compensation plans
  • Fulfill all reporting requirements of all relevant government rules and regulations, including the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA)
  • Empower leaders and business partners with data to drive decisions
  • Formulate recommendations for impending legislation / Statutory requirements
  • Develop and maintain documentation of Compensation processes and procedures
  • Prepare Compensation Committee presentations
  • Administer Merit, Annual Incentive, and Equity programs
  • Review and complete job evaluation requests to ensure market competitiveness
  • Price roles using salary survey
  • Conduct market research
  • Complete both reoccurring and ad-hoc reporting requests and requirements
  • Prepare detailed job descriptions and job classification systems
  • Define job levels and job families, in collaboration with other managers
  • Remain current on industry trends, legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts
  • Conduct audits and maintain various compensation structures and job families
  • Create and maintain job codes in the HRIS system
  • Complete various Compensation and related projects and other duties as assigned


What it takes to succeed:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Five or more years of compensation experience, including three or more years in a leadership role
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong presentation and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources modeling
  • CCP certification a plus
  • HRIS or payroll experience preferred
