THE ROLE
As the Marketing Manager for NYC you will develop marketing strategies and optimize marketing levers to achieve growth in your city. You will use social media and guerilla marketing tactics to reach and grow a large, diverse and progressive audience in our city – and help ensure our local shows are the go-to place for people to discover new talent.
You’ll work closely with Sofar’s Experiences team to ensure we’re focused on the needs of our community and executing on campaigns and overall brand strategy. Reporting into the NYC General Manager, this is an incredible opportunity for people who are passionate about marketing, live events, customer experience, and building community.
Please note that this is a part-time, freelance role for 4 months. It may require on-call, night and weekend availability.

Working closely with our Experiences team, your strategies will ensure that Sofar’s local shows become the go-to events. This role will see you creating eye-catching content, activating local partnerships, and leveraging your creativity to develop engaging email and SMS campaigns. Sofar Sounds celebrates artistry and connection, so if you have at least 2 years of experience in marketing, community engagement, and a knack for storytelling that speaks to the hearts of local audiences, we’d love to hear from you! With a salary range of $2,500 to $3,000 a month, you'll play a crucial role in defining our brand’s presence in the vibrant New York City arts scene.
