Description Warehouse Logistics Specialist (EMPS 1) Lacey, WA This is a full-time Emergency Management Program Specialist 1 position. This position requires an onsite and in-person presence. We are seeking a motivated individual to join us as a Warehouse Specialist (EMPS 1).In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team working to support Washington's emergency management capabilities. You'll be helping to ensure that our state is prepared to respond swiftly and effectively when the unexpected happens. What You'll Do: As a Warehouse Specialist (EMPS 1), you will work under the guidance of senior emergency management staff to support the daily operations of the DOH warehouses.Your key duties will include assisting with the coordination and movement of medical supplies and equipment, maintaining inventory, and supporting statewide logistics efforts during emergencies. This position plays a vital role in keeping our communities safe and prepared. Responsibilities Include: Assist the Medical Logistics team in daily warehouse operations, including identifying supply needs, managing inventory, and ensuring proper storage of materials.Help coordinate and implement resource management and logistical programs to support response activities across Washington State. Support the transportation and distribution of medical supplies and equipment from DOH warehouse facilities during emergencies. Maintain databases and accurately track medical supplies and resources.Participate in emergency response exercises and assist in developing improvement plans after real events or drills. Option 1: 2 years of experience in emergency management, homeland security, disaster mitigation planning, or civil/structural engineering.OR Option 2: 2 years of experience in warehouse and logistics management, facilities management, or related field.
