Human Resources Business Partner

The Nippon Express Group is one of the leading global logistics service providers whose Japanese corporation is headquartered in Tokyo. Our services range from air and ocean freight forwarding to cargo, removal services and warehouse operations. The company has numerous freight centers, warehouses and provides logistics services in over 45 countries on six continents with a global network of over 70,000 employees. The logistics focus is mainly on automotive and fashion industries, pharmaceutical products and further consumer goods. We are seeking a talented and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our vibrant team.

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will play a critical role in aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The HRBP acts as a consultant to management on HR-related issues and proactively supports the development of a high-performing workplace. This position involves working closely with management and employees, ensuring a positive and productive work environment aligned with the organization's goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with management to develop an understanding of the organization’s strategy, objectives, and needs.
  • Provide expert guidance on talent management, performance management, employee relations, and organizational development.
  • Implement HR programs and initiatives that foster employee engagement, organizational culture, and performance improvement.
  • Assist in the development and execution of talent acquisition strategies to meet business needs.
  • Support employees in their career development and assist in succession planning initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations while driving best practices in HR management.
  • Evaluate and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and recommend solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an HR Business Partner or similar role, with a strong understanding of HR processes and labor laws.
  • Proven experience in driving HR initiatives and managing complex employee relations issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and accountability.
  • Experience with HRIS and other HR-related software.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch.
