Senior Routing Solutions Manager

The Sr. Routing Solutions Manager manages enterprise routing process improvements and optimization. They will streamline the overall routing process throughout multiple branches and head change management for new process implementation, partnering with and training associates cross-functionally. 

Essential Duties: 

  • Lead and participate in enterprise routing projects.
  • Partner with leadership to select, train, and improve TMS and routing software
  • Develop enterprise routing key performance indicators (KPIs) and meet with divisions weekly to ensure compliance. KPIs include cases per truck, cases pers top, off days, under minimums, on time, etc. 
  • Establish and consistently achieve equipment utilization goals for all divisions and identify overages and deficits, facilitating equipment movement accordingly. 
  • Develop cost analysis tools for all new customers and different scenario-based routing.
  • Conduct re-routs and review with local teams; quantify changes and impact. 
  • Analyze individual market re-routes to find opportunities for a reduction in delivery days. 
  • Improve on-time dispatch performance through coordination with local teams daily. 
  • Point of contact for seasonal driver support needs throughout the enterprise
  • Work cross-functionality and maintain strong relationships with multiple departments with a large focus on sales collaboration but also transportation, warehouse and IT. 
  • Spearhead solutions for improving driver scheduling
  • Identify and support with maintenance opportunities within routing platform. 
  • Evaluate new routing platforms and lead change management efforts. 
  • Create training material for all new routers including a daily guide for routing success. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of related experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering/Sciences or Business a plus. 
  • Experience in Roadnet preferred 
  • Experience in a food-service distribution environment preferred
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time  
  • Strong analytical and data management skills 
  • Demonstrated leadership and growth potential 
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment 
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Must be available to work with the demands of the department which are subject to overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays

  • Sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds
  • Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
  • Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
