Position Overview
Apollo seeks to create value by engaging with Private Equity portfolio companies from the very beginning of our
partnership – offering expertise, support and resources to help position each company for growth. Apollo
Portfolio Performance Solutions (APPS) is a team of generalist and functional professionals, that apply the scale
and expertise of Apollo to help build better companies across the Private Equity portfolio.
The Role
Within APPS, the Talent function supports value creation through accelerating individual and organizational
performance across portfolio companies, with a primary focus on management team and board level talent.
The team is expanding and seeks an Associate level professional who brings exemplary project management and
analysis skills to the team. This role will be instrumental in driving executive talent initiatives, leveraging data-
driven insights to shape talent strategy, and supporting portfolio companies in building high-performing teams.
Primary Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
Project manage cross-portfolio strategic talent management initiatives including but not limited to talent reviews, and compensation and talent practices benchmarking.
Partner with investment teams and cross-functional APPS professionals to ensure efficient deployment of deal specific talent deliverables including management diligence, talent assessment, and employee surveys.
Manage initiatives related to cross-portfolio HR best practice sharing, including CHRO conferences and professional upskilling.
Streamline reporting and analytics related to talent, performance and org health across the portfolio.
Contribute to the design and deployment of systems and dashboards, and work as a conduit to the Apollo technology team and third parties to best leverage the team’s use of technology for processes, reporting, etc.
Contribute to the development of talent related playbooks and resources leveraged by deal teams, board directors and portfolio companies.
Ongoing research and monitoring of HR emerging trends to identify value-creating cross-portfolio opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
2 - 4 years of professional experience in Human Resources, ideally with 1-2 years in HR Consulting. Exposure to Private Equity is a plus.
A self-starter who works under minimal supervision, is proactive, knows when to consult and is resilient in a complex and fast paced environment.
Confident, energetic, and a good executor who can roll up their sleeves and get work done.
A strong learning mindset • Attention to detail and process oriented in helping design and build value across talent workflows, systems, and data
Excellent analysis, writing and communication skills; and Excel and PowerPoint skills
Pay Range

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
