Principal Product Manager - Compute Platform

*Note: This position requires presence in our San Francisco office location 4 days per week; Lambda’s designated work from home day is currently Tuesday.

About the role

As Principal Product Manager, you'll own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of the Compute Platform layer of Lambda’s public cloud. Your job is to build the most performant, reliable, and affordable infrastructure for AI workloads. Your focus will be at the service layer that provides VMs, high-performance clusters, software-defined networking, and object/block/file storage.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the Compute Platform strategy, roadmap.

  • Own revenue growth, profitability, adoption, and customer satisfaction.

  • Drive execution of your strategy across engineering, support, sale, marketing, and leadership. 

  • Ensure we’re ahead of the curve on emerging trends, research, competition, and tools.

  • Identify and secure partnerships with AI platforms that can integrate their applications directly with our infrastructure.

Your technical qualification:

  • You have 10+ years of PM experience and 5+ years focused on HPC-oriented public cloud services.

  • You have expert-level knowledge of public cloud infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, performance optimization, and reliability.

  • You have personally led a new product, from initial conception through commercial success..

  • You’re already ahead of the curve in AI – keeping up with emerging trends, techniques, tools, and research.

  • You have a strong technical foundation – CS, Engineering, Math degree (or equivalent experience).

Salary range information

The annual salary range for this role is $300,000 - $385,000, based on market data and experience. A higher or lower salary may be offered depending on qualifications.
