Line Lead $20-$22 an hour

Parallel Employment Group in partnership with a Cheektowaga, NY bakery is seeking a second shift line lead to support oversight of production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures. Additionally you will ensure smooth production operation during shift.

Pay Rate: $20 to $22 based on experience

Hours: M-F 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM

  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have previous line lead or leadership experience. Knowledge of the food manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery. This is normally acquired through two to five years of manufacturing experience.
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
  • Supervise production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
  • Train and coach production line employees.
  • Responsible for shift schedule to include workstation assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.
  • Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
  • Schedule and conduct shift meetings.
  • Responsible to meet shift production goals.
  • Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications.
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
